Dear China Friends,

HAPPY  NEW  YEAR

January 1st is our New Year’s Day in the United States.  However, in China your New Year is not until January 23rd, the year of the dragon.  You have probably already seen the firework celebrations in English speaking countries on television.  One of the favorite things to do is to make New Year Resolutions.  I can think of no better resolutions than those expressed by the lyrics of the following song.  See what you think?

I hope you and your family have a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I am happy to have my needs met in this nursing home.  I have good food here, lots of pills to keep me healthy, and many friends.  And I count you out there as my good friend too!  Above all I thank the Lord for being so good to me!
